Welcome!     7-13-19

Spending time with God this morning giving thanks for what He is doing in my life, He once again reminded me of a promise He gave me. That promise reminded me of the following scripture and a message I heard many years ago.

Ephesians 6:13-14 ...having done all to stand. V-14, Stand, therefore...

The message I heard is the story of Joseph's father, Israel, found in Genesis 37.
To sum the message up, if Israel would have remembered the dreams God gave to Joseph, he would not have believed the report from his brothers of his death.

As I was reading through the different notes in my journal this morning, on 6-5-19 I wrote about a conversation I had and then added my thought, "I told you I would". As I added that thought God echoed in my heart those same words, "I told you I would". That and a few other ways God has reminded me of the word He gave me are reminders to me that He is indeed faithful and no matter what the situations are in my life, His word is eternal and true. situations change but His word never changes. He is the same yesterday today and forever, He and His word are one.

Last night I was listening to a message by Derek Prince on YouTube, although he passed away many years ago his teachings remain powerful and full of revelation, wisdom, and knowledge. To sum up what I received from his message is, giving my testimony is needed and important. I have been talking to God about going live again on FB, many thoughts cross my mind when pondering it. What will people think? What will the message be when I go live? Is it even needed?
Number one, I have been concerned about what others have thought all of my life, but at the end of my life I don't to them, I answer to God. I could say more on that subject, but I will leave it right there. Second, what will the message be when I go live? That's up to God, I simply need to be obedient to what He is giving me to say and say it. Third, when God gives me the subject and the boldness to bring it forward, it will be needed.

Last week I went to coffee with a friend from my teen years. As the conversation progressed it was evident she was desperate for help and hope. Even though I had not gone through what she had, because of what I had been through by the grace of God I was able to point her to Jesus and His Word without having reservations, knowing that I know the message of hope will help her.
She believes in God, and even though we haven't discussed it I believe she loves God, but as I have discovered believing in God isn't enough.

When I was seven I asked God if He was real to show me, and He did. So I have believed in God since that point in my life, but it wasn't until 2001 when my grandson was born 3 months premature which came with difficulties such as a bleed on the brain that I needed to know Him as a healer. Then from 2006 and on, I needed to know Him as my strength, my peace, my protector, my stronghold, and my provider. I'm learning He is whatever I need Him to be whenever I need Him to be it! It is ONLY by the grace of God that I have my right mind to testify of His goodness and faithfulness, which in truth is part of His goodness.
I was raised in religion, therefore, I had a religious mindset, I am coming out of that by newing my mind with the word of God. I am seeing things in the light of Gods word instead of man's rules, tactics, and manipulation. Religion ties you down, the Gospel frees you! If the Son set you free, you will be free indeed. John 8:36
Jesus came to give us life and that more abundantly! The cost of our redemption was high but God wanted a family so He gave His best, Jesus, His only Son to earth to pay the price in His own blood for our sins to free us, redeeming us back to Himself through Jesus if we choose.

I am discovering that I have a covenant with God, a contract that He will not break! If it's ever broken it would have to be by me. The main reason I know I can trust Him is that He has never lied to me! If He broke His covenant with me it would be breaking His contract with me, but He is good to His word, He's faithful! He made a promise to Abraham that he and his seed would be BLESSED, that promised has been passed on to Isaac, Jacob, Jesus and now me because I am a joint-heir with Jesus because I have accepted Him into my life as my savior. He redeemed me from the power of darkness placing me into the Kingdom of His dear Son.

The more I am learning about His will for me, knowing what He has brought me through, the more I want to give my testimony.
Revelations 12:11 And they overcame and conquered him because of the blood of the lamb and because of the word of their testimony...
