Welcome!

Since my last publishing on 12-22-17, I have, I believe, finished my 2nd book Titled - Life and death are in your tongue. I need to read through it to confirm, but I believe it's finished.

The book titled -Behind closed doors-, true stories of abuse and survival written by survivors of abuse, should all be in the editor's hands by the beginning of 2018. The proceeds from this book will go to fight human trafficking and help those who have been abused with their needs, be it housing, counseling, etc. Before the publishing of this book, a non-profit will be set up for the proceeds to be deposited into.

I am also continuing to move forward toward opening my Beauty School that will have a daycare for staff and students. I have some amazing people joining me on this journey. Thus far, it has been, I believe, about a five maybe six-year process.
I graduated beauty school in 1986. I have worked behind the chair, managed a salon, then purchased, ran, and sold my own small salon before becoming an educator at two well-known schools in my area. The last school I worked for promoted me to lead instructor, I held that position for about a year before losing employment.
While being employed by those schools I discovered a great need. My desire and passion are that my beauty school will fill that need, with quality education being the cornerstone of my school, coupled with integrity, God being my helper, I can't fail!

I have been up early these past few mornings, spending quality time with God, listening to what He has to say. Sometimes we are too busy talking, then we wonder why we can't hear Him. I have simply been listening, and writing down what He is saying. 2018 is going to be amazing! I will be in awe of Him!

If you feel Him nudging you, please join me on this journey of discovering The Heavenly Fathers Love!

For those of you who are unaware, I wrote and self-published a book titled, ~So Thankful! Life Behind The Posts~  Between the covers I wrote about the daily struggles I faced and how leaning on God gave me strength, recognizing Him as the only Hope I had while discovering His faithfulness in my life.

2018 is almost here! Act now to get in on this offer.

Welcome!

Since my publishing on 12-16-17, I have been seeking to know the love of my Father God.

Early mornings are my favorite quiet time with God, and a cup or two of coffee. These blogs are usually not written in one sitting but throughout the week. As I was spending time this morning in Gods word a few things stood out to me about His love that I felt I was to share.

In Romans 8:35, Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
Verse 37. No in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, neither angels nor principalities nor powers, neither things present nor things to come. 39. Neither height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

To me, these are powerful verses that tell me in everything I face I am more than a conqueror, that I win through my relationship with Jesus. It doesn't mean I won't go through things, but that I will come out on the other side a winner.
These verses also tell me that His love for me is not conditional, He will love me no matter what and nothing that might come against me can separate me from His love. It also tells me that since He loves me He will also take care of me no matter what comes my way.
His word says in Isaiah 46:10... He declares the end from the beginning... He doesn't live in time as we do, He's the beginning and the end. Nothing takes Him by surprise. He has already been where He is leading us.
About a month ago I received a study Bible from Kenneth Copeland Ministeries, along with other resources that are helping to bring insight of Gods Love.
While reading Romans 8:15 in the study bible, there is a commentary at the bottom of the page, upon reading, it led to a revelation. Romans 8:15 reads. For you have not received the spirit of slavery again to fear. But you have received the spirit of adoption, by whom we cry "Abba Father". In the commentary, it says Abba is the Aramaic word for father, it goes on to say "[It] is the word framed by the lips of infants, and betokens and unreasoning trust." It says so the word is more like "Daddy." According to the commentary, "Daddy" is a term of belonging.

I did not call my earthly father, daddy, we just didn't have that kind of a relationship, I simply called him dad.

Up to this point, I did not recognize or refer to my Heavenly Father as "Daddy", it seemed to intimate, and personal as if that was not my right. However, after studying, and meditating on this scripture and Gods Love, I now believe I have the right to call my Heavenly Father "Daddy." And, it doesn't feel awkward. I am leaning on His chest, to hear His heart!

If you feel Him nudging you, please join me on this journey of discovering The Heavenly Fathers Love!

Welcome!

Since my last blog on 12-8-17, I have been working diligently on a few projects along with staying focused on my journey to discovering the Love of my Heavenly Father.

I admit the process of seeing the book titled -Behind closed doors- to completion has the potential of being emotionally difficult. However, the good that will come from its publishing, I believe, will outweigh it.

My journey to discovering the Love of my Heavenly Father places me in unfamiliar territory. Yet as the saying goes, in order to go where you've never been, you have to do what you have never done. Although I have been on the journey of discovering His faithfulness, I have not been on the journey of discovering his Love, yet as I type this I can see that in a way they are related.
Because of His love for me, He is faithful, because He keeps His word He is faithful because He is pure and good He is faithful! There is no bad in Him!

I am used to people not keeping their word, (with a few exceptions), in fact, when someone actually does keep their word it's almost surprising. Through different storms, I have gone through in my life and through holding onto Gods word because it was my only hope, I discovered His faithfulness to keep His word. That tells me He loves me.

If you feel Him nudging you, please join me on this journey of discovering The Heavenly Fathers Love!

Welcome!

Since my last publishing on 12-1-17, I have completed the manuscript I discussed on the blog I published 11-24-17. It has been sent to the editor.

I am so thankful I am journeying to know the Love of my Heavenly Father. Going through this young lady's manuscript takes me back to my own childhood.

I understand there are many that have had a pretty good upbringing, and life is good. However, I am also painfully aware there are those that are not as fortunate. My hope, for you that haven't known the love of a father, will join me on this journey to know the Heavenly Fathers heart, His Love! And those that do know the love of an earthly father, but not the Heavenly Father, will join me on this journey to His heart, His Love!

Knowing what I have lived through, and reading what the young lady who's manuscript I sent to the editor lived through, it's a painful reminder of the need to help the abused. Although I can see the road to the publishing of the book titled, -Behind closed doors- has the potential to be tough mentally, I also know, the potential is there to help many! The need to help is outweighed by far, giving me the mental strength to press forward. It has been a tough go for many who wrote their stories, reading and concluding the manuscript from the young lady, I had to walk away from it a few times, preparing mentally to go back, I am relieved to have finished.

For those of you who are unaware, between the covers of -Behind closed doors- are true stories of those that have been abused either (mentally, physically or sexually) and survived. My hope is through this book it will bring awareness to signs of abuse. I am painfully aware that abuse can happen under your own roof and you are unaware. Someone may say, how can you not be aware?
Predators are sneaky, manipulative, gaining the confidence, trust, and love of those around them.

I am also aware, there are situations in which the abused can feel stuck, having a sense of hopelessness feeling there are no other options but to stay in the abuse. My hope is that through the proceeds of this book, it will give hope! Knowing there are options.

It is my goal to have all of the stories in the editor's hand by the end of 2017. It is my hope, Lord willing, that -Behind closed doors- will be released for publishing by the summer of 2018, no later than the end of 2018.

The proceeds from this book will go to help the abused out of abusive situations, pay for counseling, or fight for the rights of the abused, whatever the need may be.

Please don't judge! Let's be a part of the solution, not add fire to the trauma of the abuse.

If you feel Him nudging you, please join me on this journey of discovering The Heavenly Fathers Love!

Welcome!

Since my last publishing on 11-24-17, not only have I been on the journey of discovering the Love of my Heavenly Father, I became a grandma once again to a beautiful baby girl!

Watching my son with his daughter gives me even more of a glimpse of a fathers love.
Watching his face beam with love for his child, and seeing how protective he is of her, again, gives me a glimpse of the Fathers love for me.

My dad was not the nurturing, protective, etc, kind of dad I am watching my son evolve into. Writing this blog brings me feelings of happiness and sadness. Happiness because I am seeing the love my son is giving to not only his new daughter but to his son as well. And, sadness, because I feel ripped off.
However, the word says in Romans 8:28, And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose. amp.

This scripture gives me hope that although my upbringing wasn't the best, God is going to take my messed up life and use it for His glory. And, it will be for my good. I have enough history of God to know that He will never fail me because Love never fails, 1 Corinthians 13:8. Therefore, I trust Him.
Life may look different from what I know to be true, but, I know that as long as I have faith in His word, listen to what He is asking me to do, and love even the unlovable, He will show up proving His word to be true.
Even though I have rebelled against Him, He has never walked away from me, He is always there when I need to cry on His shoulders. He has never been mean to me, He's only loved me.
There were times I wanted to go one way to get out of the hard times I was in, but instead, He gave me the strength to endure and keep going.

He is such a Loving Father! He sent Jesus, His only son to die a horrible death so that I can be free. I'm His child and He Loves me more than I can imagine.

If you feel Him nudging you, please join me on this journey!

Welcome!

Since my last publishing on 11-17-17, although I am continuing my journey on the study of love, I am also working on the book titled, ~Behind closed doors~.

This project is opening my eyes even wider to the sad reality that far too many children face, a home of abuse, lacking a fathers love, and possibly a mothers protection from the father.

I was recently given an unfinished manuscript, it is the true story of young women I know well. She decided to write her story for the book titled above. Unfortunately, as she relived the abuse she endured in her childhood, both mental and sexual, it took her back to too dark of a place, therefore, she had to stop writing. She called me over a month ago stating, "I gave you my word, so I am giving you the manuscript with the condition that you not ask me any questions concerning my story, do whatever you want, finish it in whatever way you choose". Therefore, a good part of my day has been spent typing her story on the computer, editing a tiny bit as she said I could, without changing the truth of it.

Reading her story takes me back to a blog I published a few weeks ago. I am finding we associate our relationship with our Heavenly Father to the relationship we have with our earthly father. That is what happened to her,  me as well. Without going into details of my earthly father, I associated him with my Heavenly Father. I am so glad I am finding the True Love of my Father God!

I am on page seven of her fifteen-page manuscript, I will admit, I had to psych myself up in order to dive into it, knowing a lot of her story before I began. I knew it would sicken me, I knew I needed to be mentally strong, treating it as if I don't know her, (like somehow that would make it any easier), abuse is abuse! It's all sickening!

Thanksgiving is tomorrow, even though when you read this it will have come and gone until 2018. However, I am thankful that I am discovering  Love! The true Love of my Heavenly Father. It's a journey that will never end because no matter how hard we try, and how deep we lean into His heart, His love still goes deeper for us! deeper than we could ever understand!
As my late Aunt Mae used to say, isn't that wonderful!?

If you feel Him nudging you, please join me on this journey!

Welcome!

Well, since my publishing on 11-10-17, I haven't had my computer, it's been in for maintenance, therefore, this may prove to be short and sweet.

I finished reading all 290 pages of the late Kenneth E. Hagin's book titled ~ Love the way to victory~. Towards the end of the book, he wrote something simplistic that I've have quoted all my life and endeavored to live by.  Simply put, ~treat others the way you want to be treated~.

In desiring to keep my publishings transparent, I have to confess I felt a nudge in my heart letting me know I have not lived up to this standard placed on me by God, and myself. Although life has not helped with this endeavor, that little nudge has let me know it's time to refocus and get back on track! ........It's all a part of loving my neighbor as myself.

If you feel Him nudging you, please join me on this journey!

Welcome !

Since my blog on 11-3-17, once again I have been pondering what to publish this week. During my study on Love, what is being embedded in my heart and the conclusion I'm arriving at is, God is simply GOOD and LOVING! surpassing my knowledge! Nothing I'm studying is leading me to conclude anything less.
Therefore, in this publishing, I would like to reflect on the Love and Goodness of God, because that's exactly, (What He Is).

Again, I was raised under the hellfire and brimstone doctrine. Therefore, I came to know The  Heavenly Father as a hard taskmaster, I was always concerned He was mad at me, that He was just waiting for me to mess up so He could punish me.
However, in studying for myself, I'm finding a Good Good Father, a Loving Father like I have never known. Even though I have accepted Jesus into my heart, I want to know the Heavenly Father I am learning about, this divine Love I am discovering.
He wants me healthy in body and mind, He wants me prosperous in every way, spiritually, financial, in my family, my business, and ministry, in every area of my life. He wants only the best for me. Jesus paid the price for my sins with His blood on the cross so I could have the best in this life and the life to come. Anything other than His best is not His will for my life. This is what I am discovering.
How many of us calling ourselves Christians who have accepted Jesus in our heart are living in less than His best for us? Simply because we are not walking in the God kind of Love.

Through the different Biblical teachings of my adult life, I come to the understanding of many things, however, through this study I am receiving a revelation of the importance of walking in the Love of God. (living a life of loving others and myself). We are supposed to love our neighbor as ourselves, kind of like a father telling his kids to stop fighting and get along.
I am well aware there are earthly fathers that have been anything but loving, in many cases, they have been and continue to be abusive. The Heavenly Fathers is anything but that. His Love is a divine Love, not a human love, His Love is unselfish, human love is selfish.
I am also aware there are earthly fathers that are loving and nurturing, kudos to them!

The Love, Kindness, and Goodness I am finding throughout my study is one that gives me hope, peace, and strength to keep moving forward with my hopes, dreams, and visions because His will for my life is for good to give me future and hope. Jeremiah 29:11.
HE IS LOVE AND EVERYTHING THAT IS GOOD!
This is a revelation that only God can give. Knowing this Love is a mindset I have not had. However, the more I am studying His Word, and allowing it penetrate my heart the more I am taking on this new mindset.
As a man thinks in his heart so is he. Proverbs 23:7.

Our inheritance, once we accept Jesus into our heart, allowing Love to reign in our lives, is everything that is good. Walking in all HE IS, requires nothing less than walking in Love, and trusting Him to be who (He Is) in our lives. LOVE!

Jehovah - Shammah-- The Lord is present--"I will never leave."
Jehovah - Shalom-- The Lord our peace.
Jehovah - Ra-ah-- The Lord is my shepherd.
Jehovah - Jirah-- The Lord will provide.
Jehovah - Nissi-- The Lord my victory.
Jehovah - Tsidkneu-- The Lord my righteousness.
Jehovah - Rapha-- The Lord my healer.

I can't begin to tell you how many times over the years I have reminded God of who He is in my life, and thanking Him for being was just that.

Will there be hard times? Absolutely! But He promised to always be with me. I have learned over the years how to use His word to help me fight the battles in my life. The power of His word will always bring forth the truth of His word.
I know my word is good, God has taught me that He is faithful to His word as well, I just have to trust Him to perform it in my life.
For over a decade now I have been keeping a journey of what God tells me concerning different situations along with details of those situations. When the fulfillment of His word manifests I go back, next to the previous journal, and log in the fulfillment of His word along with the date of the fulfillment. Sometimes it's several years in between journaling, a lot of the time His word to me looks impossible in the natural to happen, yet, I trust Him and He keeps His word every time. He watches over His word to perform it! LOVE NEVER FAILS! 1 Corinthians 13:8

If you feel Him nudging you, please join me on this journey!

Welcome!

Since my blog on 10-27-17, I have been pondering the third characteristic of Love. Love is not jealous or envious. My original thought was, how am I going to articulate this? I honestly thought,"maybe I need to skip this one". I asked God to give me insight as He always does and, I believe He did.

I have a few Bibles, one in particular from years back has simply fallen apart, but, has awesome notes and references. Therefore, I went to that Bible for the guidance of this blog.

In my ~Spirit Filled Life Bible NKJV Nelson 2255~. The side note reads ~Love does not envy; since it is nonpossessive and noncompetitive, it actually wants other people to get ahead~.

As I was reading that side note, my thought was, "God is not pushy", in other words, He will not force Himself on anyone, He gives everyone the freedom to choose the direction of their life. If we choose a path other than the path he has for us, He has a plan to get us back on course, however, that plan will include surrender. I have found that to be the case in my life.

I was at a place in life that was beyond bad, it was anything but a bed of roses! I had been living for God how I knew to live for Him. Then events took place in my life that was devasting to myself and the ones I loved. My answer to that was, ~okay, I did it His way and look where it got me, now, I'll do it mine~.

Rebellion is never a good thing.
In rebellion against God, I made a decision in my life that left me broken in many ways.
As I look back on my journey of life, I can see the lessons I have learned, many, that had I known then what I know now, I would not have rebelled as I did, and, I believe would be in a different place in life. I wrote a smidgin about this in my book titled, ~So Thankful! Life Behind The Posts~
However, everything I have gone through because of that rebellion has made me a stronger person with a heart to help others that are broken and feel lost.

The Bible reads in Deuteronomy 30:19 ~...I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse; therefore choose lie...~

But, He is a jealous God. My thought is, Just as a Father wants the best for his children, so it is with God, He wants the best for us. Therefore, God, knowing the end from the beginning, knows what is in our future. Knowing this, He is jealous of anything that would keep us away from His best in our lives. He knows what potential dangers lye ahead of us.

I Googled "Why is God a jealous God?

  • Answer: He is jealous of what belongs to Him.

What came to me while reading that is, Jesus paid a high price with His own blood. He redeemed us from the curse that we inherited from Adam. In other words, He purchased us back from satin. That's why we as children of God can have peace instead of anxiety, stress or whatever mental torment we may face that is the opposite of peace.
When I was at the weakest and lowest times in my life feeling as though I couldn't go any further, I surrendered to Him, allowing Him to be my strength.

Even though Jesus paid for our freedom, meaning, He paid the price for our sins with His blood on the cross of Calvary and rose on the third day so we could be free to live the good life. Buying us back from the thief (satan) who is out to steal, kill, and destroy. (John 10:10). He gives us the freedom to choose how we want to live but encourages us to choose life, to choose Him.

I have been jealous a few times in my life, but have come to realize, (as in singing), although I can't sing like someone who has, in my opinion, an awesome voice, so it is, no one can sing as I sing either! We are all unique in our own way and have our own special gift or talent. We need to embrace who we are as individuals and not try to be what or who we are not.

Therefore, even though Jesus paid the price for us, He gives us the freedom to choose, I choose life!

If you feel Him nudging you, please join me on this journey!

Although I previously mentioned my book, allow me to explain it further. I wrote a book titled, ~So Thankful! Welcome!

I started my journey/study into the Love of God the week of 10-16-17, for publication on 10-20-17.  I know that God IS Love, but I haven't actually comprehended the magnitude of God BEING Love, as in, THAT'S WHAT HE IS! is mind-boggling to me!

Patience is the first characteristic or nature of God. That characteristic to me was easy to define, I knew the meaning and I knew I needed to exercise having more patience in my life.

The second characteristic is, Love is kind. Although I thought I knew the definition of ~kind~ Google says ~ a good benevolent nature~. So I looked up benevolent. ~the quality of being well-meaning; kindness.
synonyms; kindness, kind-heartedness, big-heartedness, goodness, goodwill, charity, altruistic, humanitarianism, compassion, and a few more.

Well-meaning~ well intentions. "To me, that simply means to have good intentions in life (family, business) etc".
Kind-Hearted~ Having a kind or sympathetic nature
Big-Hearted~  (of a person or action), kind or generous
Goodness~ The quality of being good, in particular
Goodwill~ friendly, helpful, or cooperative feelings or attitude.
   Charity~ voluntarily giving to help
Altruistic~ showing a disinterested and selfless concern for the well-being of others, unselfish.
Humanitarianism~ the promotion of human welfare.
Compassion~ sympathetic pity and concern for the sufferings or the misfortunes of others.

Realizing that God is all of this and more leaves me in a state of awe, or, another way to put it is, wow! Coming out of a religious mindset, having grown up believing God is mean, this journey gives me a totally new sense of Hope!

Since I started this journey, my life has been changing from the inside out. I have felt my heart softening, I have more peace, and a sense of calmness and security. I sense fulfillment as if a void is being filled. Even though I have asked Jesus into my life, I admit I haven't always been living the life He has for me because I haven't been walking in the Love of God.

Sometimes life is tough which can cause our heart to get hard, like a defense mechanism that creates walls which in my case led to unforgiveness of myself and others, and bitterness.
During the editing process of the book, I wrote titled, ~ So Thankful! Life Behind The Posts ~ I felt in my heart I needed to remove parts of my story and still yet, soften other parts. It was at that point, I knew God was not only softening my heart, but He had begun a healing process in me from the hurt, pain, and disappointments of the past.

To me, the kindness of God is almost indescribable. Even though I have looked up the word "kind" I recognize that we can not put God in a box, which says to me that when we think we have figured Him out, He proves to be even greater than we thought!
It's amazing, yet humbling to know that even in all of my mess-ups, He still Loves me. Nothing I do can make Him Love me more, and nothing I do can make Him Love me less. He never changes. Malachi 3:6 "For I am the Lord, I do not change" amp
During most of my life, I have experienced conditional love. The requirement for being loved seemed to always be based on performance, it was a way of life, it's what I knew.
Knowing God who is Love, Loves me regardless of my failures or faults is a truth that only He can reveal. Realizing that He Loves me enough that He searched for me when I was lost. Matthew 18:12.   ~I have no words that will do my thoughts justice~.

It's humbling, bringing tears to my eyes to see that even in all the mistakes I've made and have at times been in rebellion, God, who is Love still chooses to use me to help others, even if  it's in a small way, such as smiling and saying thank you to someone who may not be pleasant to me, due to having a rough day.

People are desperately searching to fill a void in their life that only God can fill. If I won't let my light, ~which is the Love of God~ shine through me, then where is their hope? Perhaps the light of God that lives in me, is the only light they will see.
Perhaps that's why I'm on this earth, to shine that light?
~That a sobering thought!~

The next character of Love is, Love is not jealous or envious, amp.

If you feel Him nudging you, please join me on this journey!

Welcome!

Since my blog on 10-13-17, it has been on my heart to do a study on the definition of Love, Gods kind of Love, or the Love of God, whichever way you choose to define it.

I am a curious person and in most cases very aware of my surroundings, I'm also very observant. I am a visual learner and have found many people are.
Seeking out the definition of a word to fully understand it's true meaning is important, at least for me that's the case. Therefore, My journey begins.

The Amplified and Message translations of the Bible help break down the meaning of Love in a more simplistic way, therefore those are the translations I will be using for my research of the meaning of Gods Love. Those translations and Google.

As I stated in my previous 10-13-17 blog I have been reading ~Love The Way To Victory~ by the late Kenneth E. Hagin. I am now on page 78. Again, I must say, his writing is simplistic. It would be hard for one not to understand Gods kind of Love. The hard part ~as I see it~ would be not responding in what would seem natural to us, or, ~to our flesh~.

In 1Corinthians 13:4, the first characteristic of Love is patient. Therefore, I am going to take a more in-depth look into its meaning.
The message translation reads, Love never gives up, the amplified reads, Love endures with patience and serenity. I Googled the meaning of patience, it's defined as,
~ able to accept or tolerate delays, problems, or suffering without becoming annoyed or anxious~.
"be patient your time will come"
Serenity is defined as; ~the state of being calm, peaceful, and untroubled~

I don't even want to imagine what life would be like if (God- who is Love) was as impatient with us as we are with others. I'm not talking about serious offenses, just the normal everyday things such as, the person in front of us in the checkout line who has what seems like 50 coupons and then pays with several pennies that need to be counted out.
Although I have not been one to use coupons, I can relate to having to count every dime before entering the checkout, and in some cases, pennies may have been my source of payment.
Or, perhaps the checkout has a new cashier, and he or she isn't as efficient to move the line quickly, what would our attitude be? Would we be patient, recognizing that we were once in that same situation, a rookie on our job? Or, impatient? I can type several scenarios but choose to leave that right where it's at.

Interestingly enough, yesterday my friend and I were at a local Walmart making a purchase. The cashier helping us was really talkative, which was nice, however, our transaction was taking a little longer than appreciated by the person behind us. In a loud voice, she let everyone around her know she wasn't a happy camper. Seemingly everyone including my friend, myself, and the cashier turned our heads to look at her, startled at the statement and the volume of which it came. Thankfully, that's all that took place.

How do we act while waiting for something? Do we display the character of patience? Are we displaying patience in everyday situations of life?
Are we acting impatient as if our life is the only one that matters? Or perhaps we are impatient with God, feeling that since something isn't happening in our timing or the way we feel it should happen, God isn't going to keep His word?
I know the thought has crossed my mind that I would show God a much faster and easier way of doing things. I have to remind myself that He knows the end from the beginning, He knows the obstacles that are in our way, and that everyone and every situation must be in alinement to complete His plan in our lives.

If you have asked Jesus into your heart, do you trust God having the patience that what He promised He will do even though the wait may be longer than you want it to be or believe it should be?

I have heard it said a few times, ~If I would have known what they were going through I would have been nicer to them~.
For many years of my life, I bottled my emotions up for different reasons. One day someone close to me read me the riot act on the phone. Although I was guilty of the situation, there was way more to the story, and I busted into tears. The situation was real, but the delivery of the situation lacked patience. We don't know what a people could be going through, being patient can go a long way.

Years ago I worked as an instructor at a beauty school. One of the rules was no cell phone use on the clinic floor (where students worked on clients). This rule was hard to enforce and required a level of patience.
One day as I was walking up to one of the students sitting in a hydraulic chair, I noticed she was on her cell phone looking at pictures, as I was getting ready to enforce the rule I sensed there was more to the situation than simply her looking at pictures. I asked if she was ok, she replied then I patted her shoulder, gave advise, and walked away. Later she came to me thanking me for being sensitive to her situation and explained her reason for breaking the rule. There are times situations require a little extra patience, and leniency.

Everyone has a story, no matter what walk of life they are from.
I can testify to the fact that life can make a person hard, someone can be the nicest person one day and years later, not so much! Hurt, pain, disappointment, and life's struggles can all play a part on the journey of life creating the place called impatience.

It's in my heart is to recultivate the character of patience in my life. If patience isn't as much of a part of your character in life as you would like it to be, I invite you to join me!

Welcome!

Since my blog on 10-4-17, I have been seeking God for answers in different areas of my life. Although He answered me, they were not the answers I thought they would be. They consisted of opening my heart up completely to Him and trusting Him with it, even if it meant facing the possibility of it being broken once again.

I have started reading a book on love written by the late Kenneth E. Hagin, titled, ~ Love The Way To Victory~. (Second printing 1995). I am enjoying the read for a couple of reasons, one because although I have only read 27 pages out of 290, his writing is simplistic and down to earth with everyday examples.
The other reason is that because it is so simplistic and down to earth, it's awakening new insights of the ~God kind of Love~, something this world desperately needs. It's something that those of us calling ourselves Christians should awaken to and live out. The God kind of love isn't the kind of love that loves today and hates tomorrow. It's the kind of love that say's even though you have done me wrong, I am still going to do right by you.
It's patient, kind, thoughtful, not jealous or envious; it doesn't brag and is not arrogant. it's not rude; it's not self-seeking, it's not provoked [nor overly sensitive and easily angered] it does not take into account wrong endured. It does not rejoice at injustice but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things [regardless of what comes], believes all things [looking for the best in everyone] hopes all things [remaining steadfast during difficult times], endures all things [without weakening]. Love never fails... In other words, God never fails because God is Love.

I will admit having gone through some challenging times whether self in-flicked or otherwise, some of the definition of living out Gods love through me, I'm like, "What? seriously!? for real God!? Your joking right!?.
I have put a few situations before Him that (in my opinion) would exempt me from living out the God kind of love in its fullness. He informed me that those situations did not exempt me from living in the God kind of love. Although I don't understand it, and in some cases, I don't like it, I need to exercise the ~Love of God~ in my life so it will develop and grow.

The other day during my morning commute I was talking to God, saying "Father, I trust you with my heart, Jesus, I trust you with my heart, Holy Spirit, I trust you" The words barely left my mouth when I sensed Jesus say to me, " I died for you". To me, It was as if Jesus was saying, why wouldn't you trust me? I died for you. That statement put a whole new light on the `~trusting God~ subject for me.

The more I trust God with my heart and walk in the God kind of love, allowing Him to take care of me and whatever situation that comes my way, (God = Love) will not fail. Which means I will not fail.

Confession time; I have allowed distractions in life to get in the way of writing and publishing my blogs. My heart is to help people in any way God chooses to use me. I look back and can see in the short time I have been publishing my audience has been great! reaching seven other countries, not including the United States.
In the book of Deuteronomy 28:8 it says God will command the blessing on what I undertake, I can see that is exactly what He's done. All of that being said, it is my goal to publish a blog every Friday. If you are reading this and have not subscribed please feel free to do so. Also, I would love to have feedback so feel free to comment.
I am in awe and humbled by the audience this blog has attracted. My pledge is to be consistent, because, in consistency lies the power.

Welcome!

Since my last blog on 9-10-17, life has been challenging to say the least, but, I choose to look at the challenges I faced in a good way, to find myself.

Most of my life, from the age of seven on I have taken mental and emotional abuse, I carry the scares from the abuse. When people have given me their negative opinions of me or told me who they thought I was, I would at times take their opinions as reality, other  times their opinions would throw me for a loop, second guessing my own reality.

After this mentally challenging situation I endured I had a discussion with God, my Bishop, and two of my dear friends.
I asked God, "The things that are being said about me, how do I know I am really not that way?" His answer to me, "check yourself everyday, make sure your heart is right with me."

I talked with my Bishop, he said "Tammie you need to get thick skin". I thought I had thick skin, I thought thick skin was being able to take abuse and still stand, not so. My Bishop and first lady explained to me thick skin is knowing who you are so when people talk about you, you can let it bounce off of you, or fall off of you like water on a ducks back.

To me that statement took me back to what God told me, which takes me to knowing who "I am". Not according to man, but God! If He's good with me, I am good with me. Let people say what they will.

I talked to my best friend about what happened and how I was defending myself to some people, she said, "Tammie stop defending yourself, you did nothing wrong, defending yourself makes it look like your guilty and your not". That takes me to the saying "live your life so no one will believe it".

So, the mental beating that I took although it was tough and sent me for a loop for a week or so, in reality I'm glad it happened. It put me on the road to not second guessing myself because of someones opinion. Will people always see me in a positive light, no, and that's alright. Everyone sees things differently, does it mean I am not a good person? No, it simply means they have their own opinion.

I am finding my circle is getting smaller and smaller. Those I thought I could share my heart with and trust, I cannot. I am finding some, if not most things are better left unsaid.

Welcome!

Wow, it's been a while. Since my last blog on 8-9-17, so many tragedies have taken place around the world. But in the midst of these tragedies, people are uniting to help one another. The color of their skin, their political stance or how much money they make is not even in the equation. That's the way it should be.

Here in the Pacific Northwest because of a senseless act, our gorge area is forever changed. What used to be a sight of beauty and awe, is now a sight of devastation. The last I heard over 30.000 acres have been destroyed along with three houses, thankfully no loss of life.
Ash fell in our neighbor hoods, and people with heart and lung conditions had a difficult time. With the smoke being so heavy our surroundings looked eerie, a sense of heaviness filled my heart. I can't even imagine how Texas and Florida are feeling.

The Book ~Behind closed doors ~ due out spring of 2018, is coming along, proceeds will go to help victims of abuse. I have spoken with a few of the people writing their stories. One person, in particular, has been sharing her story with me, even though I knew some of it, hearing more and knowing she mentally survived, I am so thankful! I don't have adequate words to describe how I am feeling.
A few the of the people writing their stories have had to step back and take a mental break, reliving abuse opens the door for those memories hidden to resurface. Even though confronting that hidden memory brings healing, bringing it to the surface also bring back the pain of the abuse.

Everyone has their own way of dealing with the hurt and pain of abuse, what ever form of abuse is endured. Some tuck it down inside so deep that it becomes a lost memory, too much to bear. Some turn to drugs or alcohol, anything not to feel the pain of their reality. Some ignore or deny it not wanting to be a statistic or to face the pain of reality. I personally turned to God, even though I viewed Him as a hard task master because my dad raised in the hellfire and brimstone doctrine.

One thing I have found to be true, if the abuser is the person's dad, that person will view God the Father in the same light. He will take the wrap for what our earthly father has done.
That's exactly what I did, I thought Father God was mean because I was alway's threatened that He was going to get me if I did something wrong, or something my dad thought was wrong. Thankfully, through hard times in life, God was to show me He was the total opposite of the God I was raised to know.

Welcome!

Since my last blog on 7-26-17, my resolve to see my beauty school and daycare opened and operating is probably like no resolve I have ever had.

I am responsible for what God has been placed in my in my hands (called me to do). As I was writing the perm curriculum, typing about (assignments completed), it dropped in my heart that this assignment (opening the school and daycare) is no different than the assignments that will be given from my teaching staff. The students are given assignments and they are expected to complete them. The assignments that will be given out at my beauty school will not be assigned without the proper tools and direction to carry them out.

As it is with God

He has already made the way. He will not assign something for me or anyone else to do without giving the proper training, direction, and favor to fulfill the assignment.

I had a few awe-ha moments last week and earlier this week. Information kept dropping in my heart that kept fueling the fire, drive, and passion to move forward in full force to open and run my beauty school and daycare.

God has placed key people in my life to assist me on this journey, they have the wisdom, knowledge, experience, and passion it takes to help me see the vision placed in my heart manifest. They are also the key people joining me in running the school and daycare with integrity, efficiency, and second to none education in the Pacific North West.

The two books I have started will be completed when it's time. The book ~Behind closed doors~ (the stories of many), is continuing to move forward, as will the foundation.

Welcome!

Since my last blog on 7-19-17, I have had many things on my heart.

I need to focus and spend my time more efficiently. I currently have three projects I need to balance my focus and time on.

  • The opening of my beauty school that will have a daycare for my students and staff
  • Finishing the books I have started to write
  • Opening the foundation to hold and distribute the proceeds from the book ~Behind closed doors~
Those things which God has placed in my hands are my responsibility. This will require focus and determination, but most of all faith and trusting God that as I continue moving forward, He will open doors for me to walk through.
As I have stated in previous blogs, I learn well, and, I am teachable. God has taught me through the manifestation of the power of His word that He is faithful! I know I can trust Him.
He is taking me from faith to faith, which means to me that He is teaching me to trust Him in the little things in life leading me to trust him (having faith in His word) for the bigger things.
My beauty school, for one, is a really big thing! I can now look back and see how He started preparing me in 1986 while in beauty school to own and operate a school.
I have education and experience behind the chair in salons along with experience managing salons and being a salon owner.
I have a front line and behind the scenes experience educating for a few beauty schools while being the lead instructor for one. being an educator requires continual advanced education to keep your license current.
God has placed several people in my life who sees my vision and knows my heart to help undertake this huge project with me, I simply have to keep moving forward.

As far as my books go, I simply need to have faith, remembering, when I sit down at my the computer the words to type are always there. One of the current books I am writing stems from experiences in my life, what I (know to be true), I simply need to trust that, I knowing God will do the rest.

As for the foundation, I know it is a huge responsibility. Even though I know and trust the integrity and accountability of my life and that of my daughter, It's a much higher level of responsibility. To me, it requires me to be more organized than I am, putting me on a higher level than I have been on. However, it means helping people that really need help, that will be what drives me to accomplish this project.
(It is difficult putting my thoughts into words! I hope my heart is defined properly)

Gods word say's in Genesis 11, that "nothing I purpose to do will be impossible for me".
In Deuteronomy 28:8 That God will command the blessing on all I undertake.
Mark 10:27, Matthew 19:26 and Luke 18:27 amp all say what is impossible with people are possible WITH God, this tells me that as long as God is with me and I remember it is He that gives me the power to get wealth, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13, Deuteronomy 8:18.

Therefore, I need to keep moving forward.

Welcome!

Since my last blog on 7-3-17, I have been soul searching.

I have been reading a book about prayer which is causing me to ask myself the following questions.

  • Does my life (my words, actions and attitude) add up to being Christ like?
  • Does the way I live my life reflect the calling of God that's on my life?
These questions along with others have been on my heart.

When people look at me I want them to see a reflection of God! Do they?

This last weekend I had another amazing opportunity to be a part of a mini tour. Lyle Lovett asked Derrick McDuffey and Kingdom Sound to join him and his large band once again for three nights of his summer tour. I was honored to join the amazing voices of DMKS for two nights of the three night tour, what an honor!

The book titled ~Behind closed doors~ is still on track to be published spring of 2018, although I have pushed the completion date back for those telling their stories. It is a difficult process and I wanted to respect those that needing more time.

Since my last post on 6-27-17, I have been preparing with anticipation to go live on Facebook. I have also been looking into what it takes to start a non-profit organization before the publishing of the book -Behind closed doors- in the spring of 2018. I have other things I need to look into regarding distributing the book without going through a third party, I don't want any other source to benefit from this book.

It is my goal to go live on Facebook Tuesday, July 11th, between 3:00 - 6:00 pm (PST)

   The  topics for going live on Facebook are as follows;

  • To introduce myself.
  • To briefly explain my book -So Thankful! Life Behind The Posts-, perhaps explaining why I wrote it.
I personally would not purchase or read a book simply because I have heard of the person who wrote it, I want to know about whats inside the cover.
  • If the flow is right I will give my website, blog address and email address.
Many of my friends on Facebook have not read my blog, some may not even know I have one. My desire is to give them an opportunity if they so choose to log on. I believe it's a tough read, but it explains my life from age six, to now. I also want to explain how to purchase my book and how to contact me if one desires to do so.
  • I am going to promote the book -Behind closed doors- explaining the proceeds from the book will go into the non-profit organization, and what the proceeds will be used for.
I want everyone to understand what the book -Behind closed doors- is about, and possibly how it was placed on my heart.

Strangely, I am excited about going live on July 11th between 3:00 - 6:00 pm (PST) and the open doors that will follow this act of obedience. I have been watching others who go live on Facebook realizing it's all a matter of being yourself. I don't have to be perfect, or look perfect, and if I stumble over a few words I have to realize it's okay (I hope to not do that), but if I do, my world won't come to end.

I'm excited to see what God has in store!

Welcome!

Since my last blog on 6-12-17 life has been a little busy.

Along with working on my second book titled, "Life and death are in your tongue",  I have been mentally organizing and preparing for the release of the book titled "Behind closed doors".
I believe going through hard times can make a person stronger. I have found by writing my own story although it can bring healing, it also brings back the pain of the experience. The people who have agreed to and in a few cases offered to write their stories are to be commended.

It has been on my heart for almost a month now to use the internet more to promote the different projects I've been working on by using not only Facebook and Twitter, but to also use Instagram. In addition, it was placed on my heart yesterday to go live on Facebook. After discussing it briefly with my pastor and friend for confirmation, I am now mentally and physically preparing to go live. This method of marketing is definitely NOT in my comfort zone! However, when you are going where you have never been, you have to do what you have never done. And, I feel peace about it.
Therefore, in preparation for this new adventure in my life;

  • I am preparing my office with a backdrop that will allow my private space to remain private.
  • I am getting my thoughts together, (making a list of what I want to say) so I prayerfully won't be tripping over my words.
  • I'm trying to figure out the best lighting.
  • I'm going to explore my laptop to see if I can use it instead of my phone.
  • And, I'm thinking of the best angle for the camera lens.
This is a big step for me because it is so far out of my comfort zone, but, the fact that I feel peace about it lets me know it is God directed.

Opening up Facebook this morning there was a post from three years ago that my little sister tagged me in. I was speaking at a - Eden Women's Conference- here in Oregon. Man, how my life has changed. How I have grown since then. I am stronger spiritually, mentally, and emotionally. Even though I know I still have a way's to go, I am not where I used to be.

Welcome!

Since m posts on 5-23-17, I have been working on one of my books titled,
-Life and death are in your tongue-

As I have been reading through what I had already written, God has been giving me more to add as He reminds me of different lessons I have learned and situations I have observed through my journey in life.

I am a great student, I watch intensively, observing to learning the lesson well. I am a visual learner as many people I have found are. I do not keep circling around a round room looking for a corner.
I have been taught life lessons, and although they have been tough and I have learned from them. However there possibly still may be more to learn, the class has not yet been dismissed. My late Aunt used to use the following expression, "isn't that Wonder", at times what she saw as wonderful, I did not. However, I do like the positive expression. So although this present class I am in may not seem "wonderful", if I am a little more observant and patient, I may find it to be more so than I believe it to be.

I am happy to announce I have been receiving positive feedback from some of those who have read my book -So Thankful! Life Behind The Posts-. In a world where so many things appear negative, it is really nice to hear positive reports, especially after opening some of my life up to the world through my book.

I have been looking into opening the non-profit for the release of the book -Behind closed doors-, I have found it probably will not be as difficult as I originally thought, which is a definite plus! Again, I am hopeful to have this book released on or before spring of 2018.

The way things are going at least one of the two other book I am writing may go into publishing as early as late this year or early 2018, using my aunt's words "isn't that wonderful", I am SO amazed by God!

My book, "So Thankful! Life Behind The Posts" is available on my website at lifebehindtheposts.weebly.com or to go directly through me simply email me for details at tammietrue16@gmail.com

Welcome!

Since my last publishing on 5-15-17, I have felt the push to work on writing my second and third books that I started over a year ago.
I have been going back through my second book titled, "I am" being amazed, while looking at God and giving Him all the glory, knowing if He were not helping me it would not be happening. As I read through what was already written, He was reminding me of even more to add, while giving me extra tidbits of revelation, or (lightbulb moments). I am thinking that I will probably be writing "I am" and "Life and death are in your tongue" simultaneously. The reason for this thought is because as I was writing a sentence in "I am", my thought was, "oh wait, this belongs in the other book". I went to the other book, opening it up noticing it needed much more of my attention. Therefore, preparing for these two books will be taking a big part of my time.

It is my hope, Lord willing, that not only these two books but the book titled, "Behind closed doors" will all be released before this time next year, 2018.
The proceeds from "Behind closed doors" will go to help fight human trafficking and others that are either being abused or have been abused with the need they have. It is the desire of both my daughter and myself to open a non-profit for this purpose. Lord willing the non-profit will be open and be operating before the book titled "Behind closed doors" is published.

Word is getting out about my first published book titled "So Thankful! Life Behind The Posts" I am getting positive feedback which is a God sent to me because of the transparency of the book. I feel honored that God is using the brokenness of my life for his glory!
I am hoping to have all three book covers designed soon to start properly promoting the books.

To purchase a copy of my 1st book "So Thankful! Life Behind The Posts" by download or in print, it is available on my website at lifebehindtheposts.weebly.com or to go through me personally. email me at tammietrue16@gmail.com
