Welcome!

Since my last publishing on 5-20-18, I am moving forward in obedience, just as I have written about.

I have been sensing for a while now that I was supposed to start a group on FB with encouragement being the focus. I also felt as though I was supposed to start a new FB page, therefore I did both. I also went back to something God asked me to do about six years ago that I had stopped doing and started doing it again.

The new group and page are taking me out of my comfort zone. On the new page, I am going to start live videoes, which I also believe I am supposed to do which puts me, (in my opinion), in the spotlight which is not my comfort zone for a few reasons. As I was just typing and thinking about those reasons, they all seem to stem from rejection. Perhaps these steps of obedience are avenues towards healing?
I believe God is lifting the veil, exposing me. Everything He is asking me to do is pushing me towards the spotlight or putting me directly in it. I am okay with the spotlight only if there is a true mission (something He has given me to say or do).

The thing I started doing again requires a change in my schedule, but I am doing it with gladness.  God showed me the reason this is required of me, it helped me to see it is a necessity and that I cannot do without.

I have finished my story for the book titled ~Behind closed doors~, it's now in the editor's hands. I have also given a final deadline for the remaining stories to be turned in. It is my hope that this book will be released this year, 2018.

Welcome!

Life has been busy since my last publishing on 5-13-18.

Going back through the archives of these publishings to finish the book titled, -Behind closed doors- has been eye-opening and has brought healing to me recognizing the abuse that occurred in my childhood wasn't my fault, as I once thought it was.

I have listened to bible based teachings on many different subjects throughout most of my adult life. I have read many books on different subjects that were of interest to me.
As my kids were growing up a few of the things I asked of them were to listen to me and do as I ask, sounds simple enough!... Right? There is always a reason behind the asking and then the follow through occurs, hopefully!
Well, God is the same with us, He will ask us to do something, and hopefully, the follow-through occurs. If it doesn't I find I seem to run into a wall and seemingly forward motion stops. Then, I say, why God? this is what you have told me to do!
If I am taking the time to stop and listen to Him answer me it usually goes back to, what have I asked you to do that you haven't done? Or, I hear, I didn't tell you to stop doing that. to do as they
Sometimes kids either don't want to do as they are told to do or they didn't finish what they were told to do leaving the situation un-done.
One of the many difference between us as parents and our heavenly father is, He knows the end from the beginning, He sees the dangers that lie ahead and knows what it will take to either help us avoid them, or give us the strength to get through them. If we do not do our part, one by listening to Him and two by doing what He says, we will find ourselves in a mess and a lot of times blaming God for not doing his part even though we haven't done ours.

God may ask us to do something that will interfere with the plans we have for ourselves requiring us to use our time more wisely. Or His plans for us may interfere with the plans others have for us. Sometimes others can be greedy with our time at our cost, then get offended when we are not using our time the way they think we should. Sometimes listening to our heavenly Father will cause us to rearrange or even change a few things our lives. There are many scenarios to my thoughts on this subject.
Jesus only did as the Father told Him to do, and only said what the Father told Him to say. He prayed, listened and obeyed. I believe that is a reason He had the strength to go to Calvary. He is our example.

For me it boils down to, sometimes if things are not working or if we seem to have hit a wall, we need to go back to the last thing God asked us to do and do it, or if we have stopped doing something we haven't felt Him say, okay, Good Job! We need to pick it back up and continue doing it.

He never asks us to do something that will be bad for us or hurt us, He's a GOOD GOOD FATHER! Not a bad one. Sometimes it may not make sense but we need to do it any. It's surrendering to His will and His way. It can be a hard thing to do sometimes I'll be the first to admit it, but I will also be the first to admit it is well worth it!

Welcome!

Since my publishing on 5-5-18, I have been pondering so many things, too many to bore you with.
Since this is Mothers day weekend that will be the topic for this publishing.

I always wanted to be a mom, I wanted two kids a boy and a girl and that's what I had. My Mom passed when I was seven. Even though my dad remarried a few times after her passing the role models I was raised with was not the nurturing kind, except my Aunt Mae... She was wonderful!

I have a spiritual mom that has had the role of mom in my life for about 31 years. She has been there to give me advice and has been a shoulder to cry on. She has told me when she felt I was wrong but has also been there to cheer me on! I am thankful for her, and honor her!
I am also thankful that even though I have felt the sting of the loss not only of my mom but a grandma for my kids, I am here to be a grandma to my grandkids and am here whenever my kids need me.

I am thankful for all of the moms whether they are spiritual moms, foster moms, or a family member or friend that has taken on the role of mom for a child or children with or without any recognition. For all of the hours of selfless love that has been given to children in need by a special person thought of as a mom, that's what I am thankful for!

I am thankful for the moms that have come out of addictions because they wanted to be better for their children.
I am thankful for the moms who have adopted, knowing children need a loving forever home.

I am thankful for every loving stepmom, me, being one myself, I know the challenges. But I also know the rewards.
To all of us no matter how we became a mom.

Happy Mother's Day!

Welcome!

Since my last publishing on 4-29-18, time seems to be going by faster. Before I knew it, it was time to write another blog. As I have been pondering what to write, faith keeps being dropped in my heart, therefore, faith is the topic of this blog and perhaps more.

Although I have expressed in other publishings why I have faith in God, perhaps, I should dive a little deeper into the subject. God being my helper.

If you have been reading my publishings for any period of time you know that through life's challenges God has proven Himself faithful to me. I have taken Him at His word in seemingly impossible situations, His word has proven to be life-changing and true.

I'm not sure how to start, there is SO much in my heart concerning the subject. Although I feel as though I'm just now understanding what faith and the walk of faith is all about, (how it works) it is truly intriguing to me. I do know that everyone has faith, whether it's for the positive or negative. I also know faith is simply trusting Gods word, or the enemies word (positive or negative). I understand some may not agree with what I am writing, and that's ok. This is what I know to be true, and what I stand on.

God, even though I can not see Him, I feel His peace and strength on a daily basis. To me, He is not an explanation, but a knowing. I know the peace, joy, and strength that has gotten me through life. As I have typed and erased several times, I guess what my life boils down to is, I TRUST GOD! There is no other way to describe it. He gives me His WORD and I TRUST IT!
I humble myself before Him knowing that WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE! He has proven to me time and time again that if He has told me something, He has given me a promise (and the Bible is FILLED) with His promises, that no matter what the situations around may be, or look like, He is true to His word. He won't let me down or fail me. I simply need to have faith in His word, I need to trust Him! And I do!
Why would I not believe what cannot fail? We ask God for things all the time and because we don't receive what we ask for it's all Gods fault? Are we asking according to His word? We usually don't stop to think there could be dirt that's clogging up the flow of His blessing in our lives.
Bitterness, unforgiveness, lying, cheating, stealing, gossiping, not praying for our leaders (whether we like them or not) not walking in love, etc. No one is going to get it right all of the time, I get that, I know I don't. But I also know there is forgiveness. Admit it, quit it, and move on, doing what you know is right. If we won't follow the requirements of the blessing in our lives, then we shouldn't expect God to bless us, or be mad at Him if He doesn't. Deuteronomy 28:1-14.
God can't go against His word, and He doesn't change His mind. He is the same yesterday today and forever!
Perhaps there have been so many bad apples out there they have tainted the taste for the Golden Delicious? God is GOOD and nothing but GOOD!

I am not a  theologian, but I know the truth of Gods word works. I've seen it work. Not once, or twice, but many times. He has given me no reason to doubt Him, therefore, I won't!
I'm not mad or trying to be mean so forgive me if this blog reads harsh.
Faith works by love, I have to check myself every day, I hope you do as well.
