Welcome! 1-2-2020
Hello to 2020! A New Decade, New Platforms, New areas of Life I have not experienced before!
The following are things I have grown from and learned from in the past four decades;
* Years ago I prayed about a life-altering decision, I didn't sense an answer, therefore, I took it as a green light to move forward. Instead of moving forward I should have not moved at all. If you don't have a clear direction, don't move, stay put. No answer is a RED light not green.
* God's word states that the wages of sin is death. I didn't realize the magnitude of that statement until a few years ago when I had a lightbulb moment putting two and two together. Wages, something that is paid for something else. (my own definition) Years ago because of one bad decision I made, I was mad at God because of the horrific outcome of that decision so I went against His word and made another life-altering decision. All of these years later although I have definitely grown from everything Jesus has brought me through, as I look back I can see what it has cost me. It wasn't God's fault, it was mine, it was His strength that has brought me through everything I have went through.
* Years ago I made a decision based on the way I wanted to live my life. A person close to me was upset with me for making that decision. Because I didn't want that person mad at me and felt this person had good morals themself, I changed my decision. What did I learn from that? Don't allow someone else's anger or another person, in general, to run your life.
* I have learned red flags they are there for a reason, don't ignore them!
* I have also learned to pay attention to what people say, out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.
* I have learned when God speaks to me (in my heart) no matter what any circumstance may say,
He Is Faithful to perform His word! I learned to ask Him for scripture from His Word to confirm what He has told me and hold onto it like a bull-dog, no matter what... He will NEVER go against His Word. Sometimes as I am reading the Bible a scripture will jump out at me and I know it's for me from God. He is also teaching me the many ways He speaks.
If I want to make a decision in my life and it goes against His Word, I change direction, I have learned from my mistakes.
* I am learning to rest in Him, what do I mean by that? I'm learning not to worry about stuff even when it feels uncomfortable. He says in His word He will take care of me, I am learning to trust Him and do just that. I rest in His Word (In Him). God is teaching me to Trust HIs Word! There have been times He has given me a direction that has taken faith but He has taught me He always opens the door.
I have also learned God will never tell me to do anything but that it turns out for my good. Even if it appears unsettling to do, He gives me strength as I move forward in obedience.
* Through spending time with God in prayer and His word The Spirit has taught me to follow His leading. (to me) His leading is something where I cannot rest until I have done what He has directed me to do.
* Since the Holy Spirit is gentle and won't push Himself on anyone I have asked Him to remind me if I have given my word about something until I make my word good. And He does.
* I have learned the way to go from faith to faith and glory to glory is through the trials of life by Leaning on and Trusting in Him through it all knowing that He has already made the way and will see me through no matter how hard, painful or impossible the situation may be or seem to be.
* He is teaching me that it is my faith/trust in Him (His Word) that is going to get the job done. He did His part, believing and receiving is my part. He's teaching me that the Spirit Realm IS Indeed more real than the natural realm. God is Spirit, He defeated satan (the natural realm). He has and continues to prove Himself to me, I have tested His Word on things that in the natural were impossible, but With God, Trust in Him, and faith in His Word, All things are possible! even if it takes years.
* My faith is built on a firm foundation, Jesus the Son of the Living God! When all of hell has broken loose in my life throughout my life each time my foundation grew stronger. I have written several times in these publishings that I'm big on keeping my word and others keeping their word. Jesus has proven to me that He does indeed keep His Word. To me, that is Huge! He has proven it to me time and time again, that's the foundation I have learned to stand on over the past four decades of my life. Before then I was going by what I was taught by man, I am now going by what I have been taught by His Spirit and how He has brought me through by His strength and the promises He has kept to me in the face of hopelessness.
* On huge thing I needed to learn was not to rely on relying on a man to hear from God for me but to go straight to the source. A huge mistake in my life taught me that with the quickness. That situation was the beginning of seeking God for myself, even though God definitely uses men and women of God to teach me, however, they always back it with the word of God. Even then if it doesn't agree with my spirit I set what was taught aside and seek God for myself in the situation,
* I am learning to trust His guidance even when it makes no sense in the natural, or even when it does make sense but is almost spoken to me in a parable. Or when He lets me know something is going to happen but doesn't give me the date, He expects me to trust Him, just like Abraham did.
There are so many things the Lord has taught me, and so many more that I need to still learn.
He has begun a good work in me and He WILL complete it until the day of Christ! In Jesus Name Amen!
