Welcome!
Since my last publishing, 4-20-18, I have been listening to the teachings of Dr. Bill Winston and refocusing on completing what needs to be done for the Board of Education.
From the day I started these publishings, my heart has been to heal from the pain of the past and help others find healing. It has been quite a journey. I am learning to love myself. I believe not allowing my life to be lived according to someone else's standards was the beginning of that process.
Part of learning to love myself also included forgiving myself for many different things, not reliving the what if's and knowing that making better choices for my life was a key.
As I have been leaning into the heart of God I have been not only discovering His great love for me but also my God-given rights as His child. Jesus, having been a carpenter has used several tools to lead me towards healing. He has given me revelation along the way as I have listened to His voice and followed it.
My heart is that when people look at me they see Jesus radiate from me, not seeing me but Him through me. In order for that to happen, I must decrease so he can increase. John 3:30.
I have asked God to show me the areas of my life that are not pleasing to Him so that I can acknowledge and repent, removing them from my life, which includes change on my part. He has brought two areas of my life to mind, these are things, I don't like when I notice them in others but have recognized them in my own life. They are ugly and not a part of Gods nature.
Repenting means to turn and go the other way, to admit it and quit it. I understand how I took on the natures I did, meaning, you become what you are around. Now that it's been pointed out to me I am going to do my part to rid it out of my life. I'm going to stay in His word, allowing it to change me from the inside out so that people will see Him when they look at me. Again, it's my heart that He will radiate through me!
Now on to my project. Since the meeting on the 9th, to be honest, I have had to refocus. For over four years the focus of my project has been on what I turned in during that meeting, now to complete that assignment!
I have given different projects to my team knowing they are well able to carry out the task given to them. I need to turn my focus to my other business, the daycare. Although running a daycare is not my expertise, a member of my team has the knowledge needed to help guide me through the process of getting everything started, she has contacts that will be needed to help get the job done.
I was telling my team at our last meeting that I feel as though there is a bowl full of numbers from 1 to about 100, I need to take those numbers one by one out of the bowl and placed them in order. Although there is a LOT to do and the order I am not completely sure of, God is guiding me each step of the way.
A team member acknowledged how she noticed I had a lot of thoughts running through my head, when another part of the team blessed my heart when she spoke up during that conversation and said, yes, but you get it done. Her statement proved to me once again, you never know who may be watching you.
Another project I have in my heart to get done is the book -Behind closed doors-. I am meeting with an individual in a few weeks that would like her story in the book. Once again I feel the need to mentally prepare to hear her story, recognizing that abuse surrounded my past. Facing it and bringing it out in the open so it no longer has the power to harm me and hopefully help bring others to healing as well is another key to healing. I hope that makes sense! When you confront evil it no longer has power over you, it may hurt to acknowledge it, but that acknowledgment will bring healing!
