Welcome!

Since my last publishing, 4-20-18, I have been listening to the teachings of Dr. Bill Winston and refocusing on completing what needs to be done for the Board of Education.

From the day I started these publishings, my heart has been to heal from the pain of the past and help others find healing. It has been quite a journey. I am learning to love myself. I believe not allowing my life to be lived according to someone else's standards was the beginning of that process.
Part of learning to love myself also included forgiving myself for many different things, not reliving the what if's and knowing that making better choices for my life was a key.
As I have been leaning into the heart of God I have been not only discovering His great love for me but also my God-given rights as His child. Jesus, having been a carpenter has used several tools to lead me towards healing. He has given me revelation along the way as I have listened to His voice and followed it.
My heart is that when people look at me they see Jesus radiate from me, not seeing me but Him through me. In order for that to happen, I must decrease so he can increase. John 3:30.

I have asked God to show me the areas of my life that are not pleasing to Him so that I can acknowledge and repent, removing them from my life, which includes change on my part. He has brought two areas of my life to mind, these are things, I don't like when I notice them in others but have recognized them in my own life. They are ugly and not a part of Gods nature.
Repenting means to turn and go the other way, to admit it and quit it. I understand how I took on the natures I did, meaning, you become what you are around. Now that it's been pointed out to me I am going to do my part to rid it out of my life. I'm going to stay in His word, allowing it to change me from the inside out so that people will see Him when they look at me. Again, it's my heart that He will radiate through me!

Now on to my project. Since the meeting on the 9th, to be honest, I have had to refocus. For over four years the focus of my project has been on what I turned in during that meeting, now to complete that assignment!
I have given different projects to my team knowing they are well able to carry out the task given to them. I need to turn my focus to my other business, the daycare. Although running a daycare is not my expertise, a member of my team has the knowledge needed to help guide me through the process of getting everything started, she has contacts that will be needed to help get the job done.

I was telling my team at our last meeting that I feel as though there is a bowl full of numbers from 1 to about 100, I need to take those numbers one by one out of the bowl and placed them in order. Although there is a LOT to do and the order I am not completely sure of, God is guiding me each step of the way.
A team member acknowledged how she noticed I had a lot of thoughts running through my head, when another part of the team blessed my heart when she spoke up during that conversation and said, yes, but you get it done. Her statement proved to me once again, you never know who may be watching you.

Another project I have in my heart to get done is the book -Behind closed doors-. I am meeting with an individual in a few weeks that would like her story in the book. Once again I feel the need to mentally prepare to hear her story, recognizing that abuse surrounded my past. Facing it and bringing it out in the open so it no longer has the power to harm me and hopefully help bring others to healing as well is another key to healing. I hope that makes sense! When you confront evil it no longer has power over you, it may hurt to acknowledge it, but that acknowledgment will bring healing!

Welcome!

Since my last publishing on 4-13-18, life has changed.

Early morning on 4-16-18 I received a call from my daughter informing me that my youngest grandson and granddaughter's Nana passed. Rushing, then arriving at my son and daughter-in-law's house I found everyone one in a state of shock. Without going into a lot of detail Nana passed away in the early morning in their home, she celebrated a birthday the day before her passing, she was 52.

You never know! As my daughter and I were talking about the passing of her mom one thing she wished was that she had more pictures of her and her mom together, she had plenty of her mom with the grandkids but not the two of them. So we made a pact to change that and take a lot of family pictures so there will be no regrets.

Sherry was a wonderful loving person who was a kid at heart. We shared a love for our grandkids, our kids, and our God! I am sad that my granddaughter won't remember the love of her Nana, she is just too young. I am sad that my grandson feels the loss of his Nana, they were close and he feels that void. I am also sad that my daughter now feels the loss of a parent. I am equally sad for my son as I know the details of the morning.

I will miss my grandkids, Nana, but I know she is in heaven with Jesus. I pray that good will come out of such loss. Hold your family close, love them, and live life in such a way that you will have no regrets!

 Thanks for reading!

Welcome!

Since my last publishing on 4-6-18, a member of my team and I went before a panel of 3 at the board of education with great success! I have been in awe of the goodness of God, as I awaken to the reality of this journey.

Your word is a lamp unto my feet and a light to my path. Psalms 119:105 NKJV

There is such truth in His word! As I take each step there is a light that is leading the way.

Along with the documentation, I provided the panel with, my team member and I gave more insight into our vision. To our delight, it was met with great enthusiasm. Since part of the vision has never been implemented into our industry it had the panel discussing not only the magnitude of it but acknowledging that it has the potential to set new innovation in the beauty industry. We left the meeting overjoyed as they instructed us to move forward with the process, directing us in the way to go.

Looking back on my career in the industry I am in awe as I see that the path I have been on has led me to where I am now. I've heard many people express the very thing I am experiencing as they looked back on their lives seeing how God prepared them for the magnitude of their vision, not recognizing the same thing was happening to me.

Now to refocus on the next step of the journey. Part of that includes the new implementation of the vision into the industry. Although I have the vision that area is not my expertize, and God knows that, that's why He is surrounding me with others that have the knowledge to help guide me on the journey.

To me, now more than ever, I'm leaning into the heart God. As I lean in my passion for His truth has intensified, acknowledging now more than ever before that WITH God all things are possible.

Welcome!

Since my last publishing on 3-31-18, I have found myself taking a deep breath knowing Monday, April 9th a member of my team and I will be prepared for our meeting with the director of education, and the next step of this journey

The following saying has echoed in my ear throughout this process, "if you fail to plan you plan to fail". Although I taught freshman hair design consistently for about three years, the documents the board of education is requiring to be filled out was foreign to me and a little overwhelming. I am so very grateful for the team God has brought into my life, between all of us we have the wisdom needed for the application process.

I started this journey about five years ago with one of the members of my team, about six months to a year into it I felt as if I kept hitting a brick wall. Although I have had this vision in my heart or at least parts of it since I was in beauty school in the mid 80's, it just didn't seem to be coming together. That is until now! All but one person that is on this journey with me has worked in a beauty school, having several years in the industry. The person God placed on my heart to be the director has not worked at a beauty school but she definitely is qualified to run it. She is already changing our mindsets from it being a beauty school to being an Elite College. Our integrity, education, passion, and standards, are above that of other beauty schools.
FYI... Although I do have the business end of the college taken care of I am not mentioning its name on the Internet because I am not allowed to advertise until I have the approval to do so. To me, by announcing the name of the College it's the same as advertising.

One of my family members has started a new journey in life. As we were discussing the beginning of her journey I told her that God wasn't going to open a door for her to shut the next one. After our conversation ended I was gently reminded by God that, that same situation applied to me also.

Since I do not need to be solely focused on preparing for my April 9th meeting, I have time to work on writing my story for -Behind closed doors-. My hope is that this book is published this year, however, I want it to be in Gods timing, as He opened the doors. If every story would have gone to the editor on the date I chose, the story I mentioned in last weeks publishing would not have been added, or mine for that matter. I would not have had the time to write it.

I know 2018 is going to be huge for me, I believe it will be bigger than I can even imagine. Thanks for joining me on my journey!!!  😍
