Welcome!
As I have been reading the different posts on Facebook and listening to different news sources I am growing increasingly concerned concerning abuse in America in many different forms.
It has been on my heart for some time now (as I published a few months ago) to put a book together with different true stories of abuse and survival.
ALL of the proceeds from this book would go to help women and children in any way from sex trafficking to needing shelter, food or clothing.
If you are reading this and you have a story or possibly know of someone who has their own story and would be willing to share, please contact me!

My story may not be huge to some, but to others, it could be a saving grace. Simply letting someone know they are not alone, can help! The identity of the abused does not need to be exposed if anyone is concerned with exposure.

I don't have all of the answers as to how to go about all of this, but I do know I need to start somewhere.

Thank you in advance for your trust!

Welcome!

Oh my goodness, what a journey!

Since the blog on 2-19-17 my designer has come back into the country and taken care of the issues that needed addressing, at least that is my hope! Until I receive the third proof copy I won't have a visual to know for sure. But I believe it has been fixed, therefor, I resubmitted my book for approval once again today.

God is so good! He has been putting people in my life to help me learn the things I need to know to consider myself computer savvy. One of those things happened to be downloading my book properly for my copyright. Wow, what an exciting time in my life.

I have backed off of advertising my book a little do to all of the set backs, I did not want people to think "ya right I've seen this before" I have already had a few goal release dates that did not occur, to me it is like giving my word and then not following through, and that's not who I am.

If everything goes right, I would like to have my book "So Thankful! Life Behind The Posts" published by my birthday, March 6th. there are still a few things I do need to work out in order to cause everything to go smoothly with the purchasing and distribution of my book, but God already has the right people in my life to help me with that, it's a matter of sitting down and finalizing everything.

I am learning on this journey that God already has everything figured out, I just need to rest in Him and trust Him that He already knows the plan for my life, it's ALL going to work out! Will there be trials and pain? yes, He never promised that there wouldn't be. But He did promised He would never leave me or forsake me, and that even though there would be things that came against me, whatever they may be, they would not prosper. As long as I don't elevate the storm above Gods word, giving it power, it can't.
It's like a lion in a cage, as long as the lion remains in the locked cage, it can growl, claw, or jump at me and if I keep my distance even it's claw can't hurt me, it might cause me to be cautious, and possibly a little nervous, but it can't hurt me. However, open that cage up and it's an entirely different story.
So as long as I don't open that cage (not standing on the word and trusting God) giving the storm more power than keeping it closed (standing on the word and trusting God) nothing formed against me can prosper. (I hope I explained that correctly)

I will admit that the past few publishing's of these blogs were some of the hardest times in my life. However, God has most definitely seen me through. I have felt His strength and rested in Him as never before in my life. As my daughter pointed out to me just yesterday, when hard times hit you know something really good is around the corner. Because the enemy would not be working over time creating havoc in your life if something great wasn't coming. The harder the storm, the greater the victory.

Welcome!

Since the last post on 2-7-17 life is going in an unpredictable direction, but one that I welcome.

Out of the many things that are transpiring, I am going to focus this blog on the positive.

My designer has returned from being out of the country, hopefully, the issue with my book cover has been resolved. I did, however, ask him to make a few changes on the cover which he graciously did. One of those changes included adding my maiden name to the cover, it now reads ~Tammie Conner Pipgras~ I felt I was supposed to make the change, therefore I did. Once again, I will be sending both the cover and inside of my book in for approval, once I have the approval I will be Purchasing another proof copy. Lord willing all will go well, then it will be off to publishing.

The past few day's I was able to get away with God, with no distractions. I was simply being still, listening to what He was saying to me. For years now I have kept a journal of things I have felt God was speaking to me on this journey in life. Along with journaling, I have also kept score of when what He tells me does come to pass. He had me sit down the other day during this time alone with Him and go back through all He has shown me while journaling a bit as I was listening to His voice. This process took about four hours but reminded me once again of His faithfulness. It also showed me I do indeed hear His voice, and He does have my back.

During this time of being still, God also led me to listen to social media for a bit taking in what He was saying to me through different postings that were shared.

This journey I am on has brought tears and pain, but most importantly, it has brought peace and strength that can ONLY come from God.

Welcome!

I was really debating whether or not to publish the following life journey, however, do to the fact that I want to keep these blogs about my journey in life as real and respectful as possible, I have decided to move forward with this publishing.

A few days ago there was a situation that took place in my life that left my heart broken to the point that in all honesty I would have been okay to simply not go on with my life. Although I was not going to end it, I wanted to just go away. I never wanted to feel that hurt again.

With my thoughts in a state of despair I did what I had not done in quite a long time, I went to the grave sites of many family members including my granddaughter and my big brother that passed before I was born. As I was visiting my brothers grave it was obvious that his burial stone had been neglected for a long time, (perhaps since before my dad had passed). There was moss in the engraving of his name and year of his passing. I was unprepared to clean his stone so I used what I had to free the moss, since it had been raining the unwanted moss was moist which made the unprepared for process easier.

After leaving my brothers grave site I was driving in my mustang down memory lane through old neighborhoods and by my old school which I attended in the second and third grades. As I was driving along through my past, it was then that I stopped and realized that in times past when in deep brokenness I would visited the past in one way or another. I also realized something. I can not live in the past and still go to the future, if I want change, it starts with me. So I said "no, God, I'm not going to live in the past anymore", instead I went and ran a few errands moving towards the unknown having changed the routine of my history when in brokenness.

I want to back up a bit, after I visited my parents graves, as I looked up I seen my black mustang on the cemetery road, the grill of my car facing a hill directly ahead. Knowing the power under it's hood, it was as if God was showing me that my life was going to start moving really fast. then I remembered being shown the same thing years before. The hill the grill was facing, to me, represents going to a higher place in life.

After running a few errands trying to take my mind off the situation and alleviate the pain to no avail, I parked my car, put it in park turned the engine off and I simply said "God, help me". After removing my keys from the ignition and getting ready to go purchase lunch, I looked in my hand only to see a forgotten key I placed on my ring, I was reminded I had access to a relatives house who was out of town. I said,"thanks God" knowing exactly the direction He was leading me to go. I went, purchased my lunch, and headed to my relatives home. It was quiet and peaceful, just what I needed. Finishing eating I simply sat in the stillness of the environment, taking in the tranquility.

After gathering my thoughts I decided to tidy up a bit. Some aspects of cleaning I enjoy because I can see the results of my labor right away. So, I proceeded to vacuum and sweep up the kitchen. As I was sweeping the tiny fragments into the dustpan I felt the peace of the home and sensed that's what my future held.

Enjoying keeping busy, taking my mind off of life, I decided to go tanning. When my relative gave me the key to her home, she gave me her blessings to use the different amenities within her home. Years ago in my mid twenties I went through a Really hard time in my life, I found tanning was a great way to get away from the world, even if it was only for a short time.
In this situation I wanted to relax and make it all go away. Although tanning per say didn't make the pain go away, it helped me to relax and add a little color.

Once I finished tanning and cleaned up I knew it was time to go back into the real world and reality as I knew it. God knew exactly what He was doing when He reminded me of the forgotten key. I believe it is no coincidence that a conversation between my relative and I led to her giving me the key to her home.
